WELCOME

As you consider our selection of exotic wood canes, please remember, you can order your cane with the types of wood you like.

Your cane can be crafted out of unique and highly sought - after woods. Go to here and see pictures of different kinds of wood.

Something New

We also make canes from your wood. If you have wood from an old family barn, table leg, old beam, or just about anything else, we will use it. One priority - the wood must be dry. Please e-mail us with your questions.

Smile awhile

WHEN GOD MEASURES THE GREATNESS OF AN INDIVIDUAL,HE PUTS THE TAPE MEASURE AROUND THE HEART, NOT THE HEAD

A truth to consider

Live in harmony with each other. Don’t try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!
Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.
Do your part to live in peace with everyone, as much as possible.

Sizing your Custom Wood Cane

To find the best length of a cane for a specific purpose, please consult your doctor.

Below is the procedure to find your accurate cane height.

  1. Put on your usual walking shoes.

  2. Stand naturally upright as possible

  3. Let your arms fall to the sides naturally with a normal, relaxed bend at the elbow.

  4. Using a tape measure or yardstick, have someone else measure the distance from the wrist joint (bottom crease at the wrist) down to the floor. Please round up to the nearest half inch.

We have found that some users prefer the cane to be one to two inches longer.

Sizing your Custom Walking Stick
  1. Put on your usual walking shoes.

  2. Stand naturally upright as possible next to a door jamb.

  3. With your arms at your side, lift your forearm up so your hand is near your shoulder and your elbow is pointing down.

  4. Using your other hand, mark the door frame at the point of your elbow.

  5. Measure from that mark to the floor and this is a comfortable length for a walking stick.

Some users prefer the walking stick to be one to two inches longer, others even like a shoulder length stick. Remember - canes and walking sticks are very personal. You can order the size you feel most comfortable with.

PLEASE NOTE: This is the standard procedure. Certain users may have specific conditions that will require them to have the walking stick at a different length. Please consult your doctor or physical therapist when ordering walking helps.
